There are a lot of resources out there to help students search out information on Jane Austen and the Regency Period.

Like with any research, it is also important in understanding the person is to understand the society and the era in which they lived. therefore we have also provided some starting information on the Regency Period and the Prince Regent.

We have also found that there is a wealth of study guides and books that give insight into Jane and her situation. We have also found that there are books that have a running commentary as your read her novels. There are several books covering Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, Persuasion, Mansfield Park and Northanger Abbey. There are also books like "My Dear Cassandra" which looks at the letters written by Jane, in this case her sister Cassandra, and the books give insight into the character of Jane Austen.
